How It Works
See the gallery for available weapons. Once you make initial contact via the Contact Us page we will be in touch to find out what it is you need exactly and to then supply the most suitable weapons. If we do not have anything suitable in stock we can usually source the required items.
For anything except fully operational props we can usually post the items to you. You simply return them at the end of the rental period.
For the fully operational props we will arrange for a Stage Armaments employee to be on hand to handle, prepare and oversee their use.
Pricing
Most of the time there will be a deposit to pay which will be returnable when you have finished with the props. When the deposit is of a value less than the value of the props the contract may state that you agree to pay for the replacement or repair of damaged or lost items. The value of these items will always be declared in the contract.
The props will be charged on a daily basis and as an example a pistol or revolver will cost around £50 per day and a rifle or sub machine gun around £100.
The longer the prop is rented (or the quantity of props increases) the lower the daily rate.
All prices will be agreed in the contract before we commence the rental.
The VCR Act
The Violent Crime Reduction Act of 2007 covers realistic imitation firearms and it is very important that you understand the law regarding these items. They should not be used or displayed in a public place. For theatrical work the stage is regarded as non public as audience members do not have access but the local police should be informed that the show contains a realistic imitation firearm.
For filming purposes if any filming is to be undertaken in a public place it is very unlikely that you will be able to use a realistic imitation firearm unless your local police force have been contacted and they grant you permission under police supervised conditions.
In all cases we can help liaise with the police force so as not to cause problems with the members of the public.
